  • The Wildfire Edge GTX is a specialized approach shoe that can be adjusted to suit the terrain.
  • Designed together with mountain guides and professional climbers from the Dolomites, the SALEWA Switchfit System is a simple yet very clever solution using an additional eyelet which, when used during lacing, pulls the foot towards the sole and moves it further forward, compressing the toes like in climbing shoes.
  • This provides a better feel for the terrain and allows for more precise foot placement even on small ledges and rock steps.
  • After climbing, simply loosen the laces, which automatically gives your toes more space at the front and thus translates into greater comfort when walking
  • The highly durable suede and microfiber upper houses a thin, extremely breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane, which provides your foot with an optimal microclimate in a wide range of weather conditions and effective protection from rain. The membrane consistently repels water, preventing it from penetrating the shoe, while sweat vapor easily passes through to the outside, keeping your foot warm and dry.
  • The front of the shoe features an Edging Plate, an integrated plate within the sole that maintains optimal stiffness under the toes. The rest of the sole remains flexible, allowing for a comfortable and natural foot roll.
  • The Pomoca Speed MTN sole is made of exceptionally grippy rubber to ensure the shoe performs well on smoother rock surfaces. The specially designed tread pattern guarantees a balanced combination of grip and traction on soft surfaces like mud or grass. Field testing has confirmed that the Pomoca Speed MTN provides effective grip in both dry and inclement weather.
