Źródło światła lampy, zasilane jest z akumulatora, który w ciągu dnia pobiera energię elektryczną z wbudowanego ogniwa słonecznego (panelu). Przetwarza on światło słoneczne na energię elektryczną, która zostaje zgromadzona w zainstalowanym akumulatorze.
