The Tamron TC-X14 1,4× tele converter for Canon will multiply the focal length of the existing lens by 1.4×, and will cut back the amount of light by one f/stop. For example, using a 1.4× teleconverter with a Tamron SP 150-600mm G2 lens will effectively increase the focal length to 840 mm. A lens set to f/6.3 will now be f/9. Autofocus and VC features are retained with compatible lenses. Although the maximum focal length is increased, the minimum object distance remains nearly the same, so the magnification ratio during close focusing is enhanced.

Quality and durability
This teleconverter is carefully designed and constructed to preserve the original superior image quality of the lens. BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coatings are deployed on both models to help minimize ghosting and flare. The barrel frame of the teleconverters are made of die cast aluminum to maintain extra strength when used with large lenses.

Moisture-Proof and Dust-Resistant Construction
The new teleconverter is ideal for use in outdoor photography when matched with any lens that has a Moisture-Resistant Construction because special seals that are dust-resistant and moisture-proof are used at every joint and seam.
