When you're travelling in remote areas, this small, rugged satellite communication device1 goes beyond the limits of mobile networks. It lets you stay in touch with friends and family via two-way global communication.

  • Pair the inReach device with the Garmin Messenger app on your compatible smartphone to send text messages via satellite or cellular.
  • Need help in an emergency? Send an interactive SOS emergency call to our rescue centre.
  • A confirmation message also appears on the screen, so you can be sure the message was sent.
  • Use message templates to easily send check-in messages to contacts on the go.
  • With a battery life of up to 28 days, your adventures can last longer.

TWO-WAY COMMUNICATION
With the easy-to-use Garmin Messenger app on your smartphone, it's easy to exchange text messages with your loved ones via satellite or mobile.

SEAMLESS CONNECTION
The optimised inReach messaging feature uses your smartphone's cellular connection when available. If you lose cellular coverage, it automatically switches to the Iridium satellite network with 100% global coverage.

WRITE GROUP MESSAGES
Through the Garmin Messenger app, the inReach connection supports group messaging. This allows you to share your adventures with multiple contacts at once and have group chats with friends and family.

GET HELP IN AN EMERGENCY WITH THE SOS BUTTON
In an emergency, send an interactive SOS message to the Garmin IERCC, a 24/7 international rescue centre.

SHARE YOUR CURRENT POSITION
Share your trip with your loved ones anytime. Share your location via MapShare or send them your GPS coordinates in a message.

A TARIFF THAT SUITS YOU
An active subscription is required to access the global Iridium network and communicate with the inReach Messenger device. You can sign up for an annual contract or opt for a flexible tariff on a monthly basis.

TRACBACK ROUTING
With the TracBack routing feature, you can't get lost. Your device will guide you back the way you came.
