  • The first Nikon camera to support shutter-priority auto video recording. When this mode is selected, the user chooses the shutter speed and the camera adjusts the aperture.

  • [3D-tracking] (Still mode only) and [Subject-tracking AF] (Video mode only) have been added to the AF area mode options.

  • The pixels used for imaging and those used for AF ensure optimal exposure for each process, making it easier to focus on the intended subject, even when the subject is silhouetted against the light or the scene is dimly lit or dark.

  • The coverage range and the number of focus points used in Auto AF mode have been increased to better capture distant or moving subjects.

  • The options for the custom wide-area AF mode have been increased, resulting in improved performance in scenes with multiple subjects.

  • EXPEED 7 image processing engine reduces noise in flat parts of objects and improves image quality.

It seamlessly adapts the F-Mount to the larger Z-Mount while maintaining image quality, autofocus performance*, weather resistance and convenient control of any attached lens. Keep using your favorite lenses with the most advanced camera bodies available.

Experience fast aperture NIKKOR primes like the AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f/1.4E ED with up to 5-stop 3-axis VR* image stabilization. NIKKOR lenses that already have VR, such as the AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR, get the added benefit of a rotational axis and a total of 3-axis VR*.

Simplified design.
The simplified design of the mounting adapter FTZ II allows for comfortable shooting in any orientation, including vertical. In addition to its tripod mount, it also accommodates wider tripod plates for your camera, the MB-N11 battery grip and the WT-7A wireless transmitter.
