After the end of the Second World War, radio sets could not be sold freely due to the strict management regulations of the victorious powers. The idea of Max Grundig: Develop a radio without tubes. Out of this flash of inspiration the Heinzelmann was born. Declared a toy, it was sold as a construction kit and thus Max Grundig circumvented the ban of the Allies. The Heinzelmann quickly became a bestseller with only one circle for short, medium and long wave and spread the name Grundig like wildfire - the foundation stone for the later success of the company. In 2020 Grundig celebrates its 75th birthday and uses the anniversary as an occasion to relaunch the cult radio Heinzelmann.

Retro outside, high-tech inside
Visually, the Heinzelmann in the 75th Grundig Edition is based on its cult predecessor and impresses with its elegant retro charm in real wood walnut.

Technically the radio is of course on a different level than the 1945 model and you don't have to assemble it yourself. Thanks to a 4" high performance loudspeaker and 8 Watt RMS output power the Heinzelmann of 2020 delivers an optimal sound. The digital sound processor further optimises this by digitally adjusting the sound experience based on the interplay of location, radio and room acoustics. The built-in passive radiator produces rich bass and thus ensures even more intense sound.

In addition to radio reception via FM, DAB+ and Internet, your favourite music can be played directly from your smartphone via Bluetooth. Spotify Connect is also on board, giving the user a huge selection of music directly on the device, which can also be listened to via headphones that can be connected to the device. With two adjustable alarms and the sleep and snooze function, the Heinzelmann also functions as a clock radio - so the day starts directly with your favourite music. The Heinzelmann can be operated easily and intuitively via the user-friendly 3.2" colour display. With the remote control supplied, this can also be done remotely.
