Allen & Heath ZED-6 - Analog Mixing Console

A compact analogue mixing console makes live setups, rehearsals and small performances easier when space is limited but several signal sources still need to be combined reliably. Clean signal routing, practical connections and robust construction are key factors. This is exactly where the Allen & Heath ZED-6 comes in, aimed at musicians, singer-songwriters and smaller venues. The focus is on direct, clear operation without unnecessary extra functions.

Compact format for live use
The ZED-6 combines a space-saving case with features that are relevant for everyday stage use. Two mic/line channels and two stereo inputs allow several signal sources to be connected at the same time. This makes the mixing console suitable for solo acts as well as small ensembles. Even when used on the move, setup remains clear and quick to get ready.

Clean preamps with character
The integrated preamps are based on a development from the touring range of Allen & Heath and are designed for low self-noise and high headroom. Dynamic signals can be handled in a controlled way, while vocals and instruments benefit from a clear analogue sound base. Especially at live performances, this ensures a stable and transparent sound image.

Direct connections for instruments
Two switchable Hi-Z instrument inputs allow guitars or basses to be connected directly. Additional DI boxes are not required, which reduces cabling effort and saves space in the setup. This is particularly practical for flexible and changing setups.

MusiQ EQ for quick sound adjustments
The integrated MusiQ EQ is designed for musical adjustments and allows targeted sound correction without long familiarisation. The 2-band EQ supports fast changes during live use and helps place signals clearly and balanced in the mix. A switchable low-cut filter on the microphone channels supports clean signal routing for vocals and speech.
