TRUTHEAR KEYX DAC

The TRUTHEAR KEYX was designed for people who want to improve audio quality when using a smartphone, computer, or other compatible devices without having to add extra components to their setup. The Cirrus Logic CS43131 chip ensures precise signal processing, while the refined design helps reduce noise, distortion, and interference from communication devices. The distinctive L-shaped housing eliminates the traditional short cable between the 3.5 mm jack and the PCB, ensuring a clean, ergonomic design. KEYX also offers broad compatibility with popular multimedia and streaming services, microphone support, and the ability to use online DSP. Its capabilities are complemented by theEQTOOL.COM, designed for convenient and precise sound tuning from a computer.

Cirrus Logic CS43131 Chip

The Cirrus Logic CS43131 decoding chip, also used in high-end audio devices, is responsible for signal conversion in the KEYX. In combination with a high-performance USB controller, it delivers low distortion and noise, a wide frequency range, a high dynamic range, and a very good signal-to-noise ratio. The design was developed to ensure high-quality performance metrics and adequate output power, making the DAC well-suited for everyday activities such as listening to music, watching videos, or using streaming services.

L-Shaped Design

The KEYX stands out for its unconventional approach to the design of a portable DAC. Instead of the short cable connecting the 3.5 mm jack to the PCB—a feature found in many adapters— the manufacturer has integrated a female connector directly into the L-shaped housing. This solution has preserved the functional ergonomics characteristic of TRUTHEAR products while giving the device a more cohesive and distinctive form. The design is manufactured using multi-component injection molding and a CNC-machined, anodized metal housing.

Interference Reduction

The KEYX’s integrated design is engineered to eliminate the need for additional connectors between key components of the system. This results in more effective shielding and helps minimize the impact of radio frequency interference generated by communication devices, among other sources. This is particularly important when using the transducer in an environment filled with smartphones, wireless modules, and other sources of RF signals. As a result, the entire audio path can maintain stable operating conditions while preserving the device’s portable form factor.

Wide Compatibility and Microphone Support

The KEYX is designed to work with a wide range of devices as well as popular multimedia and streaming platforms. It also supports microphones, so it can be used not only for listening but also in scenarios requiring voice communication. Support for online DSP further expands audio configuration options and allows you to tailor the sound to your preferences. As a result, the device can be used for everyday music listening, as well as during conversations, gaming, or watching videos.

Tuning via EQTOOL.COM

For more advanced configuration, the manufacturer provides theEQTOOL.COMplatform, optimized primarily for use on a computer. The large screen makes it easy to manage parameters and allows you to make precise adjustments to sound settings without having to navigate a small mobile interface. The platform is integrated with a database, an online account, and cloud services, ensuring seamless information exchange between the various components of the system. The solution supports both individual tuning and the use of social features related to EQ settings and configurations.
