Mängu põhimõte

Dobble põhineb lihtsal ülesandel: iga mängija võtab endale kaardi ja eesmärk on võimalikult kiiresti leida kahe kaardi vahel olev ühine sümbol. Leides sama sümboli, reageerid ja võidad kaardi või täidad mängureeglist lähtuva ülesande — reeglid on lihtsad ning mängu alguse selgitamiseks kulub tavaliselt vaid paar minutit.

Üks mängu tugevusi on intuitiivsus: reegel „leia sama sümbol“ on kiire mõista, ent visuaalsete kombinatsioonide rohkus hoiab mängu värskena.
