The DA-70167 Serial > USB-A adapter from Digitus complies with the USB 2.0 standard and enables data exchange between PCs and serial devices (weather stations, sensors, machine controls, set-top boxes, game consoles, PDAs, scanners, modems, ISDN adapters, etc.). A serial RS232 interface is no longer available on newer hardware, but the USB2.0 serial adapter still enables data exchange between a USB 2.0 port on the computer and peripheral devices with a serial interface (COM port, RS232). The USB 2.0 serial adapter DA-70167 is backwards compatible with USB1.1 and allows adjustable baud rates between 75 bits and 128,000 bits per second. The individually configurable FTDI chipset enables compatibility with all common operating systems, and power management and remote wake-up are also supported. The power supply is via the USB port, no separate power supply is required.
