Secure the adapter to a serial device, using pre-installed and removable slotted D-Sub thumbscrews or install the included DB-9 Nuts for compatibility with other serial peripheral devices or cables.<br/><br/>LED Indicators<br/><br/>Data transmission and reception LED indicators on the adapter provide real-time monitoring of port activity. The USB LED indicates when the adapter has successfully enumerated on the desktop or laptop. All the LEDs aid with diagnostics and troubleshooting.<br/><br/>Seamless Connectivity<br/><br/>The adapter is compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux. Drivers automatically install to Windows 7 and newer versions, macOS 10.15 and above, and Linux. The USB to RS-232 adapter features COM retention, which automatically reassigns the COM port value if the cable is disconnected and reconnected, or if the system is rebooted.<br/><br/>Built To Last<br/><br/>The rugged TPE construction and Level-4 ESD protection (15kV air and 8kV contact) enhance the reliability and longevity of the USB to Serial Adapter.
