FUJINON 42× Optical Manual Zoom and Powerful Optical Image Stabilization
The newly developed Fujinon optical 42× manual zoom lens (24 - 1000mm) effectively combines aspherical lenses, ED lens, and integrated lenses to achieve a bright aperture rating of f/2.8 - 5.6, and image stabilization. Super Macro mode allows close-up shooting from as near as 1 cm and the manual barrel zoom ensures speedy, intuitive control of the camera.

16M EXR CMOS II High Image Quality and Fast autofocus, Quick Response
The new EXR CMOS II sensor with Phase detection AF and EXR Processor II make the FinePix HS50EXR a truly powerful camera when it comes to capturing moving objects. In addition to the 0.05 sec. AF speed, it also achieves a start-up time of 0.5 sec., interval time between shots of just 0.5 sec.

The clever hybrid autofocus system can choose between Phase Detection AF or switch to Contrast AF in low light to ensure the optimal focus system is used-dependent on the shooting conditions.

Full HD Movie 1080p/50fps
Movie recording is as easy as taking pictures, with a dedicated Movie button to start recording instantly. The high resolution, 1080p movie capture at 60fps and slow-motion capture at 480fps is superb when played back on HD TV screens
