Professional colour grading

Use the EOS R8’s low-contrast Canon Log 3 colour profile for more options while colour grading. This footage preserves detail in bright highlights and dark shadows, thanks to its wide, dynamic range.

The nuances of slow motion

Add feeling and emotion to movement, shooting at up to 180p in Full HD.2 When viewed at normal playback speeds, this shows subjects in sumptuous slow motion – revealing hidden details of their movement.

The EOS R8 has been programmed using a state-of-the-art machine-learning algorithm that lets it track moving subjects as they move about the frame.

Amazing AF for both stills and video

No matter how you’re shooting, the EOS R8 tracks and follows moving subjects right to the edges of the frame.11 Even if the main subject is obscured for a moment, the camera anticipates its movement and reacquires focus as soon as it reappears.

Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R

Connect your EF lens to your new EOS R system camera with this specially designed adapter. Built to maintain the same levels of performance and functionality seen on EOS DSLRs, you can continue to shoot with your current EF lenses as you explore the new optical system of the EOS R camera. Canon EOS R adapters are weather-sealed against dust and moisture, ready to be used on location.
