Enjoy movies that sound as good as they look with advanced audio. A large built-in stereo microphone with a high signal to noise ratio and wider dynamic range significantly reduces hiss and static and clearly reproduces a wider range of low and high level sounds. Linear PCM recording ensures immersive uncompressed audio, capturing sound sources in pristine CD quality.

Get a wider perspective and capture more of every scene using the ultra-wide angle lens with a 160° angle of view for Full-HD movies and 170° for stills. With its unique compact design, the LEGRIA mini X is extremely portable - so you can carry it everywhere you go.

Frame yourself from any angle
Easily frame yourself and shoot from a wide variety of angles using the innovative 6.8cm (2.7 ) vari-angle capacitive touch screen LCD - flip it out to the subject side and you can see a live view of what you are filming. Using the unique built-in stand you can tilt LEGRIA mini X up to a maximum of approx. 60°, giving you a range of perspectives for your movie and reducing the need for a tripod. Stow the stand away or pull it out as required.

Connect with Wi-Fi
Effortlessly showcase your creativity to social networking sites with Wi-Fi. Enjoy remote monitoring to see what's happening at home when you re away using your smartphone or tablet via a Wi-Fi connection and the free 'CameraAccess Plus' app. The LEGRIA mini X is also compatible with the optional Camera Pan Table CT-V1, which enables horizontal panning in a range of 200° and can be controlled from your device over the internet.

Enjoy crystal clear Full HD movies and stills with Canon s HS System. A 12.8MP CMOS sensor and powerful DIGIC DV4 processor ensure superb image quality in every situation. Support for AVCHD (50i) and MP4 (25p) means you can select the best format for your workflow.

Steady close-up shooting
Use simple touch control to switch from ultra-wide to close-up mode to give your movies a more conventional look and feel, by reducing the field of view to 64°. The image stabiliser in close-up mode reduces camera shake, giving you stable handheld shots.

Flip it your way
Shoot your movie straight on or upside down and detection orientation will automatically flip footage the right way up - giving you even more shooting flexibility. Review your performance technique with mirror image playback mode, which flips the footage horizontally.

Manual Audio Control
Adjust the input level directly with the mic level dial, and configure settings such as directionality and frequency response all within camera. An external mic terminal allows further expansion and supports mixed recording with the built-in mic.

Free your creativity
Slow and fast motion recording allows you to slow the footage to a 1/4x or speed up to 4x. Interval recording allows you to create a time-lapse effect making your movies even more appealing.
