Fast, silent shooting
See every movement. Do not make a sound. EOS R6 gives you more opportunities to capture the perfect moment in time. Shoot the action at up to a staggering 20 frames per second1 silently, capturing fleeting moments that are barely perceptible to the human eye.

  • Silent continuous shooting at up to 20 fps1: With simultaneous AE, AF focus tracking and image stabilisation. A 12 fps mechanical shutter is also available.
  • Built for speed, with a DIGIC X processor: Shoot up to 240 RAW images or 1000+ JPEGs in a single 12 fps burst using a high performance UHS-II card, plus dual memory cards slots that both support fast UHS-II SD cards so you can continue shooting without interruption.

The EOS R6 packs the kind of video specifications that can support a serious filmmaking workflow. Canon Log and HDR PQ options help videographers capture more dynamic range, and high quality 10-bit 4:2:2 recording is supported internally to either of the camera s dual UHS-II SD memory card slots.

Whatever you shoot, and however you shoot it, the EOS R6 raises the bar for your creativity. Whether it s stills or video, people or places, action or travel, still life or wildlife - the EOS R6 s mixture of speed, image quality and flexibility make it the ultimate content creation tool.

Image quality and stability: With 8-stops1
Imagine being able to shoot hand-held at shutter speeds as long as four seconds, blurring water in landscapes and people in the streets without reaching for a tripod. That's the kind of creative freedom you can expect from the EOS R6. An in-body five-axis Image Stabiliser provides up to 8 stops of protection against camera shake. And when RF lenses with an optical IS system (except RF 600MM F11 IS STM or RF 800MM F11 IS STM) are fitted to the camera, the two systems work in tandem to deliver an astonishing up to 8-stop advantage. The camera's In-body and lens-based IS systems stabilize video too, with a third system - Movie Digital IS - adding another layer of stabilisation and professional-looking results.

Autofocus: Fast AF tracks subjects with confidence
The EOS R6 s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system is controlled by a DIGIC X processor that uses deep-learning artificial intelligence for advanced subject recognition and tracking. Eyes, faces and heads can all be recognised with new levels of precision. The camera can also identify cats, dogs and birds, helping you maintain sharp focus on fast-moving subjects - one of the most challenging aspects of wildlife and domestic photography.

Design: Responsive and easy to use, from the first time you hold it
Nothing should stand between you and your creativity, which is why the EOS R6 has been designed to feel as instinctive and connected as possible.

  • Electronic viewfinder: A superb 3.69-dot electronic viewfinder that refreshes at up to 120 fps is complimented by a fully articulated Vari-Angle touchscreen that pivots away from the camera s body and rotates through 270°, letting you shoot from creative angles.
  • Dual card slots: Dual card slots let your record RAW files separately to JPEG/HEIF files, or even stills separately from video, and support the latest UHS-II standards for fast read/write speeds. Intuitive controls on the back of the camera - such as an AF joystick and rear control dials - make the EOS R6 instinctive to use.
