45 megapixel back-illuminated stacked sensor
A next-generation full-frame back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor combines stunning resolution and dynamic range with incredible speed and video capabilities. High-resolution photos and superb 8K 60p RAW video. This ultrafast, stacked sensor design minimises distortion in moving objects and allows blackout-free continuous shooting.

Dual Pixel Intelligent AF
EOS R5 Mark II’s Dual Pixel Intelligent AF sets new standards. Sharp focus is maintained on moving subjects, even when briefly obscured from view. Action Priority mode detects players in football, basketball and volleyball, moving the active AF point in response to specific actions – such as a shot on goal made from a high-speed pass.

8K 60p RAW video
Use the full width of the EOS R5 Mark II’s sensor to shoot sensational 8K footage – rich in detail and crop-friendly during editing. 8K 60p Light RAW portrays moving subjects with silky smooth motion. 12-bit colour depth offers fine gradation and wide dynamic range. Take your filmmaking projects to new heights with Light RAW, for 12-bit 8K 60p capture using the full width of the camera’s sensor.

Eye-control AF
New for the EOS R5 Mark II, Eye-control AF is now more precise and reliable. It can accurately determine where you are looking and move the active AF point accordingly. Work intuitively, and keep your attention firmly on the subject.

High ISO sensitivity transforms low-light work
A max ISO 51,200 sensitivity (extendable to 102,400) is supported by in-camera neural network noise reduction, for cleaner, more-detailed jpeg images.

Customisable continuous shooting up to 30fps
Adjust the EOS R5 Mark II’s continuous shooting speed in fine increments, capturing 45-megapixel images up to 30 times every second – a combination of speed and resolution that reveals the subtleties of movement in quickly changing scenes.

Fast and accurate
Freeze moments in time with a top electronic shutter speed of 1/32,000 sec, and capture 4K video at up to 120p, including sound. The EOS R5 Mark II’s fast sensor read-out minimises rolling-shutter distortion .

Get your photos and video back to your client more quickly and reliably than ever, whether you’re connected wirelessly with Wi-Fi 6E (region dependent) or tethered via USB. Choose an optional battery grip to connect via 2.5G BASE-T Ethernet.
