The AF system boasts 15 central cross-type sensors, and is accurate all the way down to an impressive -3 EV. You can capture sharply defined shots at night without using additional lighting. Group Area AF mode delivers enhanced subject detection and tracking when shooting subjects that are comparatively small and close to a high-contrast or distracting background.

Go cinematic
Shoot stunning 4K/UHD 30p footage, or record Full HD (1080p) video at frame rates up to 50p/60p. The camera offers clean HDMI out: you can even output uncompressed HDMI to an external device and the in-camera SD memory card simultaneously. You can optimise video for smart devices by recording in MP4 and AAC formats. And Nikon’s Electronic Vibration Reduction dramatically reduces the effects of camera shake when shooting Full HD movies handheld.
