Isopropanol (IPA, 2-propanol, isopropyl, isopropanol, isopropyl alcohol) is a widely accepted cleaning agent for electronics that meets the requirements of BS 1595, ASTM D770 and DIN 53245. IPA forms an azeotrope with water that evaporates faster than water alone. It therefore ensures fast removal of moisture. Isopropanol spray contains high-purity isopropanol (99.9%), which ensures a higher capacity to remove moisture from components and parts. - Isopropanol spray is mainly designed for cleaning the following equipment: tape heads, disk drives, photocopiers, optical devices, lenses, printed circuit boards, precision tools, delicate components. - The use of isopropyl alcohol to clean printed circuit boards and electronic modules after soldering, removes rosin and its modification by releasing the dried cartridge nozzles in inkjet printers. The IPA evaporates completely after use. Drying can be accelerated by an air stream IPA can affect some materials. Therefore, always test on a small area before use. - Electrical equipment must be disconnected from the power supply before IPA application!
