M.2 becomes mobile
With the external USB 3.1 Type-C housing IB-1816M-C31 you can quickly and easily take a NVMe card with you. It allows access to M.2 media of up to 2 TB, no matter which host you connect it to. The IB-1816M-C31 is compatible with M.2 cards of 30, 42, 60 and 80 mm length, operating system independent and suitable for a variety of applications such as high-speed storage, cloning a drive or running a mobile operating system.

Fast on the Road
USB 3.1 (Gen 2) Type-C now achieves even higher data transfer rates. The high transfer rate of up to 10 Gbit/s is guaranteed by the included USB 3.1 Type-C cable and only requires a suitable terminal device in the form of a PC, tablet or similar with Windows or macOS.

NVMe-based USB Type-C Controller
If you wanted to connect an external case with an M.2 SSD via USB Type-C up to now, you had to limit yourself to SATA models. The new chipset of the IB-1816M-C31, on the other hand, allows NVMe M.2 SSDs to be connected to a USB 3.1 (Gen 2) Type-C host computer and the full data transfer rate of up to 1000 MB per second to be utilized.

Lightweight aluminum
Weighing less than 40 grams, the IB-1816M-C31 features a sleek, compact and break-resistant aluminum enclosure that protects against shock and vibration, while the finned heat sink design supports heat dissipation for excellent cooling efficiency and protects the M.2 SSD from overheating, even during heavy work.
