Kasu ja kasutusvõimalused

See adapter annab sulle võimaluse paigaldada M.2 (M‑Key) NVMe SSD otse PCIe x1 pesasse, mis on kasulik lahendus täiendava salvestusruumi, kiire vahemälu või andmete liigutamiseks vanemale lauaarvutile. Kui emaplaadil puudub M.2 pesa või soovid lisada ketast teise pesasse, teeb adapter selle lihtsaks.


Ühilduvus ja piirangud

Adapter töötab M.2 Socket 3 (M‑Key) NVMe ketastega, mis kasutavad PCIe protokolli. See ei ole mõeldud ainult SATA‑põhistele M.2 ketastele (sõltuvalt ketta võtmetüübist ei pruugi SATA‑ainult M.2 töötada). Adapteri ja ketta andmeedastuskiirus on piiratud hosti PCIe pesa põlvkonna ja riba (lane) arvuga — näiteks PCIe 3.0 x1 pakub teoreetiliselt ligikaudu 985 MB/s ühe suunalist läbilaskevõimet, PCIe 2.0 x1 umbes 500 MB/s; seega ei pruugi ketta maksimaalne x4 jõudlus täielikult realiseeruda, kui kasutad x1 pesa.


BIOS/UEFI ja käivitamine (boot)

Kui plaanid kettalt käivitada operatsioonisüsteemi, peab sinu emaplaat ja selle UEFI/BIOS toetama NVMe seadmete käivitamist. Adapter ise ei lisa BIOS‑tugi — enne bootimise seadistamist kontrolli emaplaadi dokumentatsiooni.


Paigaldus ja hooldus

M.2 ketta paigaldamiseks aseta SSD M.2 pistikusse ja fikseeri plaat vastava kruvi ja alusmutriga (tavapärane M.2 kinnitussüsteem). Adapter saab toite PCIe pesast, seega eraldi toitejuhet tavaliselt ei vaja. Enne paigaldamist lülita arvuti välja ja eemalda toide.
