Image quality

Smart Return Home

  • Its vision systems allow the Inspire 2 to create a real-time map of its flight route as it flies
  • In case the video transmission system signal is lost, the Inspire 2 is able to fly home along its original flight route
  • On the flight home, it uses the primary camera to identify obstacles as far as 200 metres in front, which guarantees a safe flight home

Video transmission system

  • The DJI Lightbridge technology has an effective transmission distance of up to 7 km1 and can deliver both 1080p/720p videos
  • The Inspire 2 can stream video from an integrated FPV camera and the main camera simultaneously, for better pilot and camera operator cooperation
  • Users can switch between 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz2 control frequencies to avoid interferences, for greater signal stability
  • Master and Slave Controllers: A wireless HD image transmission technology sends video information from the master controller to the slave controller, with a range of up to 100 metres without a loss of image quality

Flight performance

  • The Inspire 2 reaches maximum flight speeds of up to 94 kph, descends at 9 m/s and climbs up at 6 m/s
  • It can accelerate from 0 to 80 kph in only 5 seconds
  • The two controller sticks are tuned for more sensitivity, making difficult flight manoeuvres easy
  • Thanks to its self-heating Intelligent Flight Batteries, the Inspire 2 can fly in temperatures as low as -20 °C
  • The dual battery system increases the flight time to a maximum of 27 minutes (with an X4S)

Reliability

  • Dual redundancy of key modules such as the IMU and barometer makes flying even more reliable
  • The intelligent flight control system monitors all redundancy systems, giving the pilot accurate flight data
  • Dual batteries mean that if one battery has a malfunction, the other battery continues the flight long enough for a safe landing

DJI Zenmuse X5S

  • Equipped with an improved Micro 4/3 sensor, the Zenmuse X5S has a dynamic range of 12.8 stops with an improved signal to noise ratio and colour sensitivity than the X5R
  • The X5S camera supports up to 8 standard M4/3 lenses (including zoom lenses) with focal lengths from 9-45 mm (equivalent to 18-19 mm on a 35 mm camera)
  • The CineCore 2.0 image processing system on the Inspire 2 makes the Zenmuse X5S capable of capturing 5.2K CinemaDNG video and Apple ProRes video at 30 fps, as well as 4K 60 fps using H.264 and 4K 30 fps using H.265 - both at up to 100 Mbps
  • With a pixel size of 3,4µm, this 20.8 megapixel sensor captures more detail than ever before
  • The sensor has 12.8 stops of dynamic range, allowing it to create clear, low noise images even in low light environments
  • Using the Micro SD card, you can capture 20.8 MP stills at 14 fps in JPEG and DNG format. Using the DJI CINESSD opens up 20 fps continuous DNG Burst Mode
  • Stills can be taken during video recording without interruption
  • An optimised 3-axis gimbal as well as a dedicated processor and a highly precise motor stabilise the Zenmuse X5S
  • Vibration is eliminated using 3 damping balls and a damping board
  • You can capture smooth and stable3 footage using a 90 mm4 lens
  • Take control over every camera setting from afar with the DJI GO app
