Tilkkastmissüsteem aitab säästa vett kuni 70% võrreldes traditsiooniliste kastmismeetoditega, kuna vesi jõuab otse taimede juurteni ning ei raisku. See on eriti oluline kuival ja kuumal perioodil, mil vee säästmine on kriitilise tähtsusega. Lisaks aitab ühtlane ja pidev niisutus vältida taimede stressi ning soodustab paremat saagikust ja tervemat kasvu.

Süsteemi saab ühendada otse veekraani või kasutada koos taimeriga, et kastmine toimuks automaatselt ja regulaarselt. See muudab aia hooldamise eriti mugavaks ka siis, kui omanik ise kodus ei viibi.
