CAT6a standard võimaldab andmeedastuskiirust kuni 10 Gbit/s sagedusel kuni 500 MHz, mis teeb sellest kaablist ideaalse valiku nii tänaste kui ka tulevaste võrgulahenduste jaoks. 3 meetri pikkus annab piisavalt paindlikkust seadmete ühendamiseks ilma liigsete pingutusteta, kuid samas ei tekita liigset kaablite segadust.
