The blank of the Alivio Slim TE GT is made from a composite carbon material that can cope with the knocks and mistreatment often associated with inexperienced anglers. However, the functional actions are surprisingly good for a rod that costs so little, with decent casting performance and forgiving fish-playing actions. Fitted with Shimano stainless steel Hardlite guides you can safely use these rods in both freshwater and saltwater and the use of an ergonomic EVA handle ensures a good grip at all times.
