LAOWA 25mm f/2.8 2,5-5X Ultra-Makro objektiiv võimaldab kõigil täiskaaderkaameratel teha ekstreemseid makrofotosid kõrgeima kvaliteediga taskukohase hinnaga. Sellel on õhuke toru, see on kerge ja sellel on pikem töökaugus. Suurendusaste ulatub 2,5:1 kuni 5:1, võimaldades makrofotograafil erineva suurusega objekte täiteväärtuslikult kujutada.

Konstruktsioon, mis koosneb 8 elemendist 6 grupis ja ühest elemendist väikese dispersiooniga, tagab suurepärase teravuse erinevatel kujutusmõõtmetel ja vähendab kromaatilist aberratsiooni absoluutsele miinimumile, et vältida värvilisi ääri. Lainurk-konstruktsiooni tõttu on perspektiiv erinev telefokauguste puhul, kuna taustast on näha suurem osa. Objektiiv on spetsiaalselt mõeldud makrofotode jaoks ja saab fookustada ainult selles valdkonnas. Tänu pikemale pildistamiskaugusele (40 mm 5x suurenduse korral) saab objekti mõistlikult valgustada.

Teravustamine toimub käsitsi, samuti avaarvu seadistamine. Tänu väikesele kaalule, mis on alla 450 grammi, ja väikesele toru läbimõõdule sobib objektiiv nii välitingimustes kui ka stuudios või laboris kasutamiseks. Valikuliselt on saadaval statiivikinnitus. Sellega saab objektiivi otse statiivipeale kinnitada. See annab fotograafile paremad võimalused erinevate vaatenurkade kasutamiseks.
