The Yongnuo OC-E3c is a cable that has a Canon flash connection socket with a central contact for flash sync and additional contacts for other flash functions. This is a 100% analogue of the Canon Off-Camera Shoe Cord OC-E3, but for ease of use, the Yongnuo OC-E3c has a longer length of 10 meters. This gives you even more freedom and convenience when shooting.

 

This cable is designed to connect remote Canon system flashes to Canon cameras equipped with a center contact flash socket. Using the Yongnuo OC-E3c cable will allow you to move (move) your flash away from the camera at a distance equal to the length of the cable used. This will allow additional and convenient control over the position of the flash and the pulse of the light - you will not be constrained by the position of the flash on the camera mounting slot and you will be able to "paint" the light as you like.

 

With this cable, all of your branded Canon flash functions will work, including E-TTL II mode. Just as if the flash were attached to the camera's flash socket.

 

The Yongnuo OC-E3c cable, when used in conjunction with the flash/umbrella mount assembly, can be very successfully used in macro photography, reportage and/or other photography situations that require flexible and creative control of the flash light pulse.

 

There is a ¼” threaded hole at the bottom of the flash mounting socket at the end of the cable (for attaching the head to the stand with a ¼” threaded screw).
The maximum cable length of Yongnuo OC-E3c is 10m (unstretched cable length: approx.~120cm).
