The Ermenrich NetGeeks NP40 multifunctional is a digital cable tester that is designed for tracing twisted pair and telephony, testing lines for faults and installation errors, measuring cable lengths and the distance to open or short circuits. The device will become an effective tool for technicians deploying and maintaining a computer or telephone network in an office, at a facility, or at home.

In the base mode of operation, the device can check the wires within the cable for damage: open circuits, short circuits, crossed pairs. In the cable length measurement mode, you can measure the total cable length within 200 meters as well as the distance to the break. TDR measurements, high accuracy, and calibration can be performed, if needed.

The Port Flash function can be used to find the exact port on the network switch or router to which the target cable is connected. The PoE test identifies the PSE type and detects midspan/endspan. The device also measures voltage and polarity. The tester receiver can be set to NCV mode for non-contact voltage detection.

The transmitter and receiver are powered by batteries (not included).
