The TL-SG3452XP switch has 48 PoE+ ports compliant with 802.af/at standards and is capable of providing up to 500 W* of total power to devices. Data and power are transmitted over a single Ethernet cable, so finding a suitable location for PoE-enabled devices such as wireless access points, IP cameras or IP phones is less difficult and the cost of running a small business is significantly reduced.

Software-defined network infrastructure (SDN) control with access from the cloud

Omada's software-defined network infrastructure (SDN) control platform integrates the operation of network devices, including access points, switches and network gateways, providing comprehensive central management from the cloud. Omada enables a highly scalable network that is fully controlled through a single interface. This translates into seamless wired and wireless connections that are essential for hospitality, education, retail, offices and many other industries and establishments.

Effective security

IP-MAC-Port-VID binding, port protection, Storm Control and DHCP Snooping are all features of the TL-SG3452XP switch that protect your network from threats. The device also provides the ability to define the most common DoS attacks, so they can be detected and prevented early. Meanwhile, the ACL function (L2 to L4) is applicable for blocking access to specific network resources. Packet forwarding can be denied for specific source or destination MAC addresses, IP addresses, TCP/UDP ports or VLAN IDs. In addition, the switch uses 802.1X encryption in combination with RADIUS/Tacacs+ server functions to authenticate users seeking access to the network.

L2+ layer functions

With extensive Layer 2 features, including 802.1Q tag VLAN support, port mirroring, STP/RSTP/MSTP, port aggregation and 802.3x flow control functionality, the TL-SG3452XP switches boast versatile performance. The IGMP Snooping function allows multicast streams to be intelligently directed only to specific subscribers, while IGMP Throttling and IGMP Filtering functions effectively restrict unauthorised users from accessing multicast transmissions. The TL-SG3452XP also supports static routing to segment the network and improve performance.

Advanced QoS features

To ensure better transmission of audio and video in a single network traffic, network administrators can set priorities for e.g. individual IP addresses, MAC addresses, TCP or UDP ports, etc. This ensures that audio and video transmission is smooth and lag-free.

Amenities for service providers

The TL-SG3452XP is a great solution for ISPs due to the availability of the following features: sFlow, QinQ, L2PT, PPPoE ID Insertion and IGMP authentication. The 802.3ah OAM and Device Link Detection Protocol (DLDP) features enable easier network supervision and management.

IPv6 support

The switch supports a number of IPv6 features such as dual IPv4/IPv6 stack, MLD Snooping, IPv6 ACL, DHCPv6 Snooping, IPv6 interface, PMTU Discovery and IPv6 Neighbor Discovery, making the network fully compliant with NGN standards and no hardware replacement will be necessary.
