Qtier technology allows the TS-464U-RP to use automatic data tiering that continuously optimizes storage utilization across high-capacity SSDs and SATA drives. Qtier 2.0 technology provides I/O knowledge that augments SSD tiered storage with cache-like reserved space to support increased real-time I/O, maximizing SSD benefits.

Direct 4K HDMI output to display media and VM content

The TS-464U-RP features Intel UHD Graphics with support for dual-channel hardware decoding and real-time transcoding*. The HDMI 1.4b output supports 4K (3840 x 2160p) output at 60Hz, which is an invaluable advantage for video production/editing or industrial design, among others, requiring high image resolution and color fidelity for intensive use of multimedia content storage, transmission and display. Connecting the TS-464U-RP to an HDMI display allows you to directly watch multimedia content stored on the NAS or use the TS-464U-RP as a versatile workstation by directly outputting virtual machines from Virtualization Station or Ubuntu Linux Station.
