The DGS-1100-05V2 switch from D-Link is a network device designed for office and home environments, offering 5 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports for fast and stable LAN connections, suitable for linking computers, printers, and other network devices. With a total switching capacity of 10 Gbps and a maximum packet forwarding rate of 7.44 Mpps, it manages data traffic smoothly, optimizing local network performance. It features a MAC address table with 2,000 entries and a 1 Mbit packet buffer, enabling efficient traffic handling without data loss. Its compact desktop design, measuring 100.5 x 82 x 28 mm and weighing only 0.23 kg, is made of black metal, providing durability and proper heat dissipation. The device has low power consumption, up to 3.42 W, and complies with IEEE 802.3az energy efficiency standards, helping save energy through link and cable length management. For network management, the switch supports advanced port-based VLAN configurations, including voice, management, and surveillance VLANs, with support for up to 32 static VLAN groups and a maximum of 4,094 VLAN IDs (VIDs), offering flexibility to segment traffic and enhance security. It also includes layer 2 features such as IEEE 802.3x flow control, HOL blocking prevention, Jumbo Frame support up to 9,216 bytes, and IGMP snooping with support for 32 groups to optimize multicast handling. Security features include static MAC address control (up to 32 entries) and mechanisms to prevent broadcast, multicast, and unknown unicast storms. Management is easy via a web GUI (IPv4 support) and the SmartConsole client utility, facilitating configuration and monitoring even for users with basic knowledge. It holds international safety and EMI/EMC certifications such as FCC Class B, CE Class B, and others, ensuring reliable operation. Power is supplied by an external adapter with an input of 240 VAC at 50-60 Hz.
