TP-LINK ER7206 toetab mitut VPN-protokolli, sealhulgas IPsec, OpenVPN, PPTP ja L2TP, võimaldades turvalist kaugühendust töötajatele ning partneritele. Tänu täiustatud turvafunktsioonidele, nagu tulemüür, DoS-kaitse ja IP/MAC/URL-filtreerimine, on ettevõtte võrk kaitstud erinevate küberohtude eest. Seadmel on mitmekülgsed WAN-pordid, mis võimaldavad kasutada mitut internetiühendust samaaegselt ning tagavad automaatse ülemineku varuühendusele (failover), kui üks ühendus katkeb.
