The TP-Link TL-SG1008P desktop switch is a network device designed to provide reliable and efficient connectivity in professional and home environments requiring Power over Ethernet (PoE). This model features 8 RJ45 Gigabit ports (10/100/1000 Mbps) supporting high-speed data transfer along with PoE on the first 4 ports, delivering up to 15.4 W per port and a total of 53 W for all PoE ports, compliant with the IEEE 802.3af standard. This enables powering devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, or VoIP phones without separate power supplies. It includes advanced flow control functions supporting IEEE 802.3x in Full-Duplex mode and Back-Pressure in Half-Duplex, ensuring stable, loss-free data transmission. Its automatic MAC address learning and aging with an integrated table of up to 8K entries improves dynamic network management, while the Store-and-Forward transmission method ensures efficient packet handling. Housed in a metal case with a black and gray finish, the TL-SG1008P stands out for its compact, discreet design, measuring 171 x 98 x 27 mm, ideal for cabinets or desktops. It is equipped with LED indicators showing power, link status, activity, and speed for easy visual monitoring.
