The Startech ST121HD20FXA2 HDMI Signal Extender is a wired HDMI switch device designed to extend high-quality audio and video transmission over fiber optic cable, supporting Ultra HD resolutions up to 4K at 60 Hz with 7.1 channel surround sound. This complete kit includes both the transmitter and receiver, enabling a point-to-point connection without the need for network setup, drivers, or software, ideal for straightforward and professional installations. Compatible with single-mode and multimode fiber optic cables, it allows HDMI signal extension up to 1 km (3300 ft) over single-mode or 300 m (1000 ft) over multimode, ensuring stable transmission free from electromagnetic interference (EMI) thanks to the immunity provided by single-fiber LC optical fiber. The device features a robust steel enclosure with built-in mounting brackets for secure and tidy installation in home, corporate, or industrial environments. It also offers multiple relevant connections, including HDMI ports, two Micro-B USB ports for power or control, and RS-232 connectivity for integration with control and automation systems, plus a 3.5 mm auxiliary audio output that allows simultaneous playback of audio transmitted via HDMI and this output, offering flexibility for various sound systems.
