See filament on valmistatud ABS‑materjalist (akrüülnitriil‑butadieen‑stüreen), mille peamised eelised on hea mehaaniline tugevus ja parem soojusvastupidavus võrreldes näiteks PLAga. Hall toon annab neutraalse aluse, mida on lihtne hiljem lihvida, liimida või värvida.


Kasutus ja printimissoovitused

ABS‑filamentiga printimisel arvestage materjali kalduvust kokkutõmbumisele ja warping’ule — soovitatav on kasutada kuumutatud alust ning vajadusel suletud ehituskambriga printerit. Hea alustamine ja adhesiooni tagamiseks kasuta sobivaid meetodeid (nt liimipulk, PEI‑plaat või teip). Ventilatsiooni reguleerimine ja tuule vältimine trükiprotsessi juures aitavad parandada tulemuse püsivust.


Ohutus ja ladustamine

ABS eraldab printimisel lõhnu ja lenduvaid orgaanilisi ühendeid; trükkimiseks soovitatav on tagada korralik ventilatsioon. Filamenti hoia kuivas jahedas kohas, vajadusel vaakumpakendis koos kuivatiga, et vähendada niiskuse mõju printimisele ja pindadele.
