The 8-Bay RAID Station is an external enclosure for eight SATA hard drives, which support the memory modes Clean/Single, Large, Clone as well as RAID 00, 30, and 50.
The case of the RAID station consists of solid SECC steel, the front door from ABS plastic. Behind this hides the hard drive mounting frame, in which hard drives in 2.5" or 3.5" format can be screwed into. The mounting frame itself is simply inserted into the housing and locked.
The configuration of the RAID modes is done quickly and easily through the DIP switch located on the backside of the case. The USB3.0 and eSATA interface is also located here, through which the RAID station can be attached to compatible devices. An appropriate cable is also included in shipping, including the necessary screws needed for installing the hard drive.
Regardless of whether it’s a private media collection or the data storage for a small office environment, with the 8-Bay RAID Station it’s always on the safe side!
