Kaamera sobib ideaalselt erinevateks projektideks, nagu näiteks masinnägemine, turvaseadmed, koduautomaatika, robootika, ajavõtte videod ja palju muud. Tänu oma kompaktsusele ja kergele kaalule on seda lihtne integreerida erinevatesse seadmetesse ning projektidesse.

Kaamera Moodul 3 põhineb Sony IMX708 sensoril, mis tagab kõrge lahutusvõime ja suurepärase pildikvaliteedi isegi keerulistes valgustingimustes. Moodul toetab automaatset teravustamist (autofocus), mis võimaldab jäädvustada teravaid ja selgeid pilte erinevatel kaugustel. Lisaks on moodulil laiem vaatenurk võrreldes eelnevate mudelitega, mis teeb selle eriti sobivaks laiemate stseenide jäädvustamiseks.

Raspberry Pi Kaamera Moodul 3 ühendub Raspberry Pi plaadiga läbi CSI-2 liidese, mis tagab kiire ja stabiilse andmeedastuse. Moodul on ühilduv nii uute kui ka vanemate Raspberry Pi mudelitega, võimaldades kasutajatel lihtsalt uuendada oma olemasolevaid süsteeme.
