n an effort to combat the devastation of water damage in the home, Yale has launched a smart water sensor that will alert homeowners if their home is in danger of flooding. The design of the Sync Water Sensor accessory is simple and effective featuring two external metal sensing contacts, when both strips get wet, through a plumbing leak, flood, or surrounding moisture condensing on the surface, the alarm will sound through the Yale Sync Smart Home Alarm or Yale Intruder alarm (depending on which system you have).<br>At the same time, the device will send an alert to your smart device* to warn of the presence of water. The detector is not a one-time use device. Each time the sensing contacts make contact with moisture and the alarm sounds, simply dry the contacts. Return the detector to its location or choose a new location as needed.<br><br><b>Convenience</b><br>Simply fix the water sensor to the wall and near places that are likely to be causes of leaks such as by fridges. freezers, washing machines, diswashers, sinks and baths.
