Shelly Flood Gen4 WiFi/Zigbee flood sensor

The Shelly Flood Gen4 is a flood sensor that detects water exactly when it occurs - under the dishwasher, washing machine, boiler or in the basement. With a long-range detection cable, built-in sounder and instant notifications, it helps avoid costly damage, and its compatibility with platforms such as Apple HomeKit, Google Home and Home Assistant makes it easy to integrate into your existing smart home system. In addition, battery power and IP44 rating allow installation in areas without access to an outlet and with high humidity.

Flood Detection and Rain Detection modes

The device offers two modes of operation, so you can easily match it to your specific application. Flood Detection is designed for critical areas - as soon as the sensor detects water on the line, it immediately sets off an alarm, which works well under the washing machine, dishwasher, boiler or in the basement. Rain Detection works more subtly: it registers the rising level of moisture on a surface, but does not generate an alarm, which works well, for example, on terraces or under canopies. In this mode, the device reacts to the first signs of precipitation, helping to protect outdoor equipment and furnishings.

Precise detection cable for small and large spaces

The 2-meter-long flood detection cable provides a much longer range than a standard point sensor. It allows you to cover hard-to-reach areas with monitoring, and its linear design is particularly well suited for long stretches of pipes, built-in furniture or extensive utility rooms. If necessary, you can connect its successive sections, reaching a total length of up to 150 m, making it possible to protect large areas or several points at once.

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and Matter connectivity

The Shelly Flood Gen4 sensor works with various communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee) and is compatible with the Matter standard, allowing flexible integration with virtually any home automation system. You can easily connect it to Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Home Assistant, Samsung SmartThings or Amazon Alexa - manage all your devices from a single app!

Three alarm styles for different operating scenarios

The Shelly Flood Gen4 has a built-in beeper that emits a long notification when flooding is detected and short beeps when the battery is low. The sensor also offers three alarm modes that allow you to customize leak notification to your site. Intense provides fast and clear signaling, Normal works well for everyday use, while Economic reduces power consumption, which is especially useful in summer houses, garages or other infrequently visited facilities.

Battery power and freedom of installation

The device is powered by four AA 1.5V batteries, which you'll find included. It does not require any wiring and can be placed where there is no access to an outlet - for example, under kitchen cabinets, in cabinets, near pipes or in utility rooms. In addition, the device is IP44-rated, which means it is resistant to moisture and splashes. As a result, the sensor will work well not only indoors, but also in semi-open spaces, such as terraces or spaces under a canopy.Note: do not expose the device directly to rain - the main module should be shielded, and the exposure is only to the detection cable.

Local automation and cooperation with external devices

The Flood Gen4 sensor supports local operating scenarios, making it possible, among other things, to automatically shut down equipment when water is detected. Integration with additional Shelly modules and third-party equipment allows you to create functional security features tailored to your room or system.

Control via app and built-in web interface

The Flood Gen4 can be operated using the Shelly Smart Control app and Shelly Cloud service, which allows remote access to the device from anywhere. In addition, it features a built-in web interface that makes it easy to configure, monitor and customize settings. No matter how you work, you're always in full control of the sensor's performance.

Wide range of applications

Shelly Flood Gen4 will work well in many places where the risk of water is particularly high. Under the dishwasher, washing machine, boiler or in the bathroom, the sensor detects even small leaks before they cause costly damage. Spread out along pipes, it allows monitoring long stretches of plumbing, and in basements or garages it reacts to the first signs of flooding. Thanks to Rain Detection mode, it can also be used in semi-open areas, such as on terraces or under canopies, to respond to sudden rainfall and protect garden furniture. The device will also prove useful in vacation homes and less frequently visited properties, where the Economic mode allows for months of operation with minimal energy consumption.
