Elinchrom Background Reflector. Create smooth, controlled background lighting, even when space is limited. The Elinchrom Background Reflector is a rotatable reflector designed for portrait, product and studio photography where you want to light the background separately from your subject.
Its asymmetrical shape provides smooth, graduated light distribution at short distances while helping to shield the subject from direct flash. The result is greater control over the background with less unwanted light spilling onto the subject.
Even background lighting at short distances
When a flash is positioned close to a background, achieving an even spread of light can be challenging. The Background Reflector is designed to distribute light across the backdrop in a controlled way, making it particularly useful in smaller studios and other spaces where working distance is limited.
The gradual light distribution helps you create anything from an evenly illuminated background to more controlled gradients and transitions.
Keep unwanted light off your subject
The shape of the reflector allows you to direct light towards the background while shielding the subject from direct flash.
This provides better separation between background and subject lighting, making it easier to build your setup one light at a time. You can adjust the background without unnecessarily changing the light on the person or product in front of it.
360? rotation for flexible positioning
The Background Reflector rotates through 360?, allowing you to quickly adapt the direction of the light to the flash position, background and effect you want to create.
This makes it flexible for both permanent studio setups and situations where the lighting needs to change between shots.
Add colour and creative effects
Integrated gel and filter clips make it easy to add colour filters in front of the reflector. This allows you to introduce colour to the background, create contrast with your subject or change the mood without replacing the backdrop.
It gives you more creative options from a simple, controlled light source.
