Das MBX500 Blitzgerät von Priolite verfügt über eine Schublade für wechselbare Akkus, die ein grenzenloses Blitzen ohne Steckdose ermöglicht. Der Akku kann im Gerät als auch außerhalb des Blitzgerätes geladen werden. Helle, gut sichtbare Anzeigen für die Leistung - durch rastenden Drehregler einstellbar. Es wird eine Omega Blitzröhre verwendet, die durch ein 3-Punkt-Stecksystem tauschbar ist. Interner Leistungsabbau beim Runterregeln. Kein Abblitzen von Hand notwendig. Schaltbare Photozelle. Schaltbare Audio Funktion für Signal Blitzbereitschaft. Thermische Überwachung durch temperaturgeregelte Lüfter. Das Gerät ist bereits mit einem Fernbedienungsmodul ausgestattet. Bidirektionale Steuerung in Verbindung mit der Priolite Fernbedienung bis zu 300 m. Auf dieser wird die Leistung des Gerätes aktuell angezeigt und kann per Fernbedienung verändert werden. Bis zu 36 Geräte funkfernsteuerbar und auslösbar.

Die massive Reflektormechanik nimmt ohne externen Adapter Zubehör von Priolite, Bowens-S Line und viele Hensel Reflektoren auf. Bis auf den Griffbereich ist das Gerät aus massivem Metall gebaut. Die Halteschiene besteht aus Aluminium Strangguss, die Reflektormechanik aus Aluminium Druckguss. Der besonders starke Neigekopf erlaubt die Neigung und die Drehung des Gerätes und gibt über Gussplatten sicheren Halt auch bei schweren Vorsätzen. Das LED Einstelllicht gibt helles Licht unter besonderer Schonung des Akkus.

Die Priolite Funkfernbedienung wird ganz einfach auf den Blitzschuh gesteckt; sie arbeitet perfekt mit allen Priolite Blitzgeräten zusammen. Nahezu alle Funktionen des Blitzgerätes können ferngesteuert werden. Auf der Fernbedienung wird die Leistung des Gerätes und dessen Blitzbereitschaft angezeigt.

Durch die Organisation in 4 Teams mit jeweils 9 Geräten können insgesamt 36 Geräte individuell gesteuert werden. Das System arbeitet im Frequenzbereich 2.4 GHz, dieser ist weltweit für solche Anwendungen zugelassen. Die Fernbedienung wird mit 3 AA Batterien betrieben.
