Elinchrom Deep Transparent Umbrella 105 cm is a flexible light shaper with a deep, parabolic shape and translucent fabric. Use it as a shoot-through umbrella for broad, soft light, or aim the flash into the umbrella for a more focused light with greater influence on the ambient character of the room.
Fast and flexible light shaping
An umbrella is one of the easiest light shapers to work with. It opens in seconds, takes up minimal space during transport, and makes it easy to change the character of your light quickly. A practical choice for both studio work and location photography.

Even light distribution
The centred umbrella mount on Elinchrom flash units positions the light source correctly in relation to the umbrella, helping create even illumination across the entire surface. The integrated reflector behind the flash tube also helps use the available light efficiently.
Two light characteristics from one umbrella
The translucent fabric and deep shape give you two distinct ways to work with the light. Shoot through the umbrella to create a large, soft light source with broad and even coverage. Because the umbrella can be positioned close to your subject, it is easy to create smooth transitions and controlled shadows.
You can also aim the flash into the umbrella and reflect the light back towards your subject. The deep shape helps collect and direct most of the light, while some passes through the translucent fabric. Indoors, this light can bounce from walls and ceilings, contributing to a brighter overall ambience in the scene.
Rounder reflections with 16 ribs
The 16 ribs give the umbrella an even, near-circular shape. This is particularly useful for portraits, product photography, and other situations where the light shaper appears as a reflection in the subject or as a catchlight in the eyes.
More control with the optional back panel
A black back panel with a silver interior is available as an accessory. Once fitted, it limits the light that would otherwise pass through the back of the umbrella, giving you greater control over spill light and reducing reflections from walls and ceilings.
With the back panel attached, you get a more controlled and directional light while retaining the feel of a large light source.
