DEWALT DCL040 töötab 18V XR Li-Ion akusüsteemiga, mis tagab pika tööaja ja võimaldab kasutada sama akut ka teiste DEWALT XR seeria tööriistadega. Valgusti on varustatud kvaliteetse LED-pirniga, mis tagab ereda ja ühtlase valguse minimaalse energiatarbimisega. LED-tehnoloogia tagab ka selle, et lamp ei kuumene liigselt ning selle eluiga on oluliselt pikem võrreldes traditsiooniliste hõõglampidega.

Valgusti pea on pööratav kuni 120 kraadi, võimaldades suunata valgus täpselt sinna, kus seda kõige rohkem vaja on. Tänu integreeritud riputuskonksule saab valgustit hõlpsasti riputada erinevatesse kohtadesse, jättes käed vabaks töö tegemiseks. Kompaktne disain ja kerge kaal muudavad selle transportimise ja hoiustamise eriti mugavaks.
