Ta niesamowita budowla ulokowana nad brzegiem Sekwany w samym sercu Paryża słynie z połączenia wpływów renesansu z architekturą modernistyczną. Co roku muzeum odwiedza ponad 9 milionów zwiedzających, którzy mogą podziwiać ponad 35 000 dzieł sztuki takich jak Mona Lisa Leonarda da Vinci. Luwr został wybudowany w 1190 r. przez króla Filipa II Augusta i służył jako forteca chroniąca mieszkańców Paryża przed atakami najeźdźców z innych krajów.
