North American P-51 Mustang to amerykański jednosilnikowy myśliwiec okresu drugiej wojny światowej. Był produkowany w zakładach North American Aviation w USA. Z powodzeniem wykorzystywany w siłach powietrznych USA i ich sojuszników podczas drugiej wojny światowej oraz w trakcie wojny koreańskiej. Bardzo udana konstrukcja z 1940 roku sprawiła, że samolot był nieustannie rozwijany aż do 1986 roku! W czasie 46 lat wyprodukowano ok. 15-16 tys. Mustangów. Obecnie wiele z tych maszyn znajduje się w rękach prywatnych. Do dzisiaj Mustangi są chętnie wykorzystywane w lotach pokazowych i zawodach sportowych.
