HMS Hood

HMS Hood to brytyjski krążownik liniowy z okresu międzywojennego i II wojny światowej. Zwodowany w 1918 roku, wszedł do służby dwa lata później. Mierzył aż 262,3 m długości. Głównym uzbrojeniem artyleryjskim krążownika było osiem dział BL Mk I kaliber 381 mm. W okresie międzywojennym krążownik, jako największy okręt świata był wizytówką Royal Navy. Po wybuchu II wojny światowej i klęsce Francji przebazowano go do Gibraltaru, gdzie wszedł w skład Force H. Dnia 21 maja 1941 roku w towarzystwie pancernika "Prince of Wales", wypłynął w swój ostatni rejs. Trzy dni później brytyjskie okręty starły się w Cieśninie Duńskiej z niemieckim pancernikiem "Bismarck" i towarzyszącym mu ciężkim krążownikiem "Prinz Eugen". Po krótkim pojedynku artyleryjskim na dużym dystansie celny pocisk spowodował eksplozję wewnętrzną w rufowej części "Hooda", która całkowicie zniszczyła okręt. Z liczącej 1418 osób załogi uratowano jedynie trzech marynarzy. Zatopienie "Hooda" wywołało szok w Wielkiej Brytanii.

Klockowy Model HMS Hood został zaprojektowany w skali 1:300 i wiernie oddaje detale swojego historycznego pierwowzoru. Klockowy pancernik ma aż 88 cm / 34.6" długości i 22 cm / 8.7" wysokości. Posiada wiele ruchomych elementów, takich jak działa pokładowe, obrotowe wieże artyleryjskie, stery czy śruby napędowe. Model został pokryty wysokiej jakości nadrukami imitującymi oporządzenie i kamuflaż. Nadruki nie ścierają się nawet w trakcie intensywnej zabawy. Do zestawu dołączona jest czarna klockowa podstawka ekspozycyjna oraz biała tabliczka z nadrukowaną nazwą i skalą modelu. Okręt z pewnością zachwyci dorosłych i młodszych miłośników historii, militariów oraz marynistyki. Będzie znakomicie prezentował się na biurku, w regale z książkami, w gabinecie czy w pokoju młodego entuzjasty klocków.
