P-38H był jednym z kluczowych samolotów amerykańskich podczas II wojny światowej, słynącym z niezwykłej konstrukcji, w tym podwójnego kadłuba. Napędzany przez dwa silniki Allison V-1710-111 o mocy 1 425 KM każdy, osiągał imponującą moc 2 850 KM.
