Omadused

Quantum LTO-6 on LTO Ultrium 6 standardile vastav magnetlindikassett, mis pakub kuni 2,5 TB native salvestusruumi ja kuni 6,25 TB tihendatud mahutavust (tavaliselt arvestatud 2,5:1 tihenduse alusel). See meedium toetab LTO spetsiifikaid, sealhulgas kiiret sekventiaalset lugemist/grammistamist ning on ümberkirjutatav, mis võimaldab sulle kasutada sama kassetti korduvalt varunduse ja arhiveerimise ülesannete jaoks.


Ühilduvus ja kasutusvaldkonnad

LTO-6 kassett sobib LTO-6 draividele ning on mõeldud töötamiseks nii iseseisvate draividega kui ka lintide automatiseeritud raamatukogude ja autoloaderitega. Tänu LTFS (Linear Tape File System) toe võimalustele saad kassetti kasutada failipõhise ligipääsuga, mis lihtsustab failide otsimist ja teisaldamist ilma spetsiifilise arhiveerimistarkvarata. Sobib eriti hästi serverite varunduseks, pikaajaliste arhiivide hoidmiseks ja külma/ärikarbi (offline, air-gapped) säilituse tagamiseks.


Turvalisus ja säilitamine

Magnetlindimeedium pakub füüsilist offline-hoidu, mis aitab vähendada näiteks lunavararünnakute ja võrgupõhiste ohtude mõju. Quantum LTO-6 on mõeldud tööstusharupraktikate järgi pikaajaliseks säilitamiseks, eeldusel et kassett hoitakse tootja soovitatud keskkonnatingimustes. LTFS ja teised tarkvaralahendused võimaldavad lisaks rakendada krüpteerimist ja juurdepääsuõigusi, sõltuvalt kasutatava draivi ja tarkvara võimalustest.
