Two-thirds shorter and half the weight of conventional macro lenses

While macro lenses tend to be quite large, Panasonic has used its unique technology to successfully reduce the overall size. Compared to conventional macro lenses, the LUMIX S 100mm F2.8 MACRO is approximately two-thirds shorter and half the size. The compact and lightweight system, which together with the LUMIX S5II weighs only 2.2 pounds, can be used with one hand.

Efficient workflow thanks to a unified design

The LUMIX S 100mm F2.8 MACRO lens is the same size, filter size and functionality as the LUMIX S F1.8 prime lens series. The center of gravity is precisely aligned, so the lens changes smoothly when shooting with a gimbal or drone. In addition, rendering performance is also identical, allowing for smooth post-production.
