Lanberg is launching a new family of RACK 19" 1U server cases, which can be easily used in a production server room, company office, semi-professional workshop, and even in a home NAS system or hobbyist's laboratory. Each case has been designed so that customers can configure a server to suit their exact needs – from a miniature cluster based on Mini-ITX 19 to powerful, multi-processor configurations. As a result, a single product line offers solutions for both the PRO segment and the consumer market, and server cases for RACK cabinets are now available to everyone.

The flat 1U height allows for installation in compact, including hanging, 19" RACK cabinets, which saves space in the office, home, or garage. Lanberg opted for a flat design, but did not compromise: all models offer broad compatibility with various motherboard standards, from Mini-ITX to E-ATX and SSI EEB. An airy front, adjustable PWM fans, numerous slots for hard drives and SSDs, solid 1.0 mm galvanized steel, a rich I/O panel, and a package of useful accessories – these are the elements that unite all Lanberg 1U RACK cases into one coherent family.

The SC01-4201-10B model is the golden mean – a 1U 19" RACK server case that combines a compact format with enormous flexibility. A wide selection of motherboards allows you to choose a configuration for a specific system – from a virtualization server to a multi-disk NAS. The presented model supports compact Mini-ITX and Micro-ATX motherboards, as well as full-size ATX and specialized SSI CEB server motherboards, allowing for much greater configuration freedom. However, the 1U height requires careful selection of CPU cooling: low TDP processors or passive cooling and short, efficient heat sinks are recommended to avoid thermal throttling and maintain a stable operating temperature.

The SC01-4201-10B uses four 40 mm PWM fans with a range of 4000–8000 RPM and an impressive service life of 50,000 hours. These parameters ensure quiet and efficient system operation for a long time. The perforated front and intelligent PWM control ensure constant airflow, maintaining a stable temperature for both data storage devices and the motherboard. This means that even in continuous operation mode, the server remains cool, stable, and ready for action without the risk of overheating components.

The SC01-4201-10B provides 2 drive bays by default – depending on your needs, you can install 2 high-capacity 3.5“ HDDs or 2 fast 2.5” SSDs. This solution allows you to create high-capacity RAID arrays and flexibly combine different types of storage – from fast system drives to platter-based archival drives. What's more, by using shorter FLEX power supply models, it is possible to gain space for an additional 2.5" SSD, which gives even greater configuration freedom and allows you to increase the total capacity of the system without sacrificing the compact 1U form factor. This allows users to easily tailor the drive layout to their own scenarios – from a simple file server to a multi-tasking office server.

Each Lanberg RACK 1U server case is made of 1.0 mm thick galvanized steel, which significantly exceeds the industry standard and distinguishes it from competing solutions. The greater thickness of the material translates into higher mechanical resistance – the chassis effectively protects components from deformation, accidental impacts, and micro-vibrations, which in the long term could affect the stability of the server. The robust design is also less susceptible to wear and tear during many years of operation, frequent assembly and disassembly in RACK cabinets, or transport between locations. As a result, the device not only protects components from external factors such as dust or shocks, but also ensures the durability and reliability of the server infrastructure for many years of intensive use.

The front panel of the case features two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and Power and Reset buttons, making it extremely convenient to quickly connect a flash drive, external drive, or service keyboard. The front I/O panel saves the administrator time and facilitates system configuration, firmware updates, and diagnostics—without having to reach behind the case or manipulate cables in hard-to-reach places. It is a simple yet extremely practical solution that speeds up server operation and maintenance.

SC01-4201-10B includes a 4-PIN PWM splitter for connecting several fans and precise control of their operation, a set of M6 screws for stable mounting in a standard RACK cabinet, a replaceable front dust filter that protects the interior from dirt, and FLEX power supply brackets up to 220 mm long, which ensure compatibility with a wide range of power supply units. This equipment eliminates the need to purchase additional accessories and allows for efficient, safe installation of the entire server in a matter of minutes.
